About Erik
Erik Jacobson is an artist based in Orleans, Massachusetts, whose work is deeply inspired by the flowing dunes and shifting light of the Outer Cape. Drawing on a family legacy that includes his great-grandfather Arthur Belliveau and his father’s cousin, the renowned painter Will Cotton, Jacobson’s practice blends tradition with a contemporary sensibility. He began studying fine art at an early age at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and later apprenticed with acclaimed sculptor Omri Amrany. Since beginning his professional career at 21, Jacobson has developed a visual language rooted in place, memory, and movement. His work can be seen at Artnova in Chatham and Treadwell Gallery in Provincetown, as well as online at www.erikjacobson.art and on Instagram @erikjacobsonart.
