About Erik
Erik Jacobson is an American painter whose work is shaped by color, materiality, and emotion. He comes from a family of artists, including his great-grandfather Arthur Belliveau and his father’s cousin, the painter Will Cotton.
Jacobson studied fine art at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and later apprenticed with sculptor Omri Amrany. Since beginning his professional career at 21, his work has become widely recognized in Provincetown and has developed a strong following on social media (@erikjacobsonart).
He grew up in North Carolina and now splits his time between Cape Cod and Florida. When not in the studio, he spends as many weekends as possible in New York City, often going out dancing with friends.
His work is represented by Artnova in Chatham and Treadwell Gallery in Provincetown.
